We’re hiring a Software Developer to join a Greenfield, next-generation Regulatory Technology platform within a leading global investment bank. This role sits within the Finance Technology – Regulatory Reporting organisation, focused on building and evolving a critical regulatory reporting platform used globally. While the platform is built around Axiom, prior Axiom experience is not required. We’re looking for strong engineers who are keen to learn a new, specialist technology and grow their skillset within a complex, high-impact environment. Full training on Axiom will be provided.
You’ll work closely with international engineering teams, contributing to platform development, automation, and infrastructure, while helping drive modern engineering practices across a mission-critical system.
Responsibilities- Build and support a Greenfield, next-generation regulatory reporting platform
- Develop and maintain backend services, tooling, and automation supporting regulatory processing
- Implement platform upgrades, releases, and security patches across global environments
- Coordinate testing cycles with engineering and delivery teams
- Expand CI/CD, test-driven development, and release automation practices
- Contribute to architectural decisions, standardisation, and platform design
- Support a high-availability, business-critical regulatory reporting system
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Software Developer or Engineer
- Strong Python development skills
- Solid Linux / Shell scripting experience
- Database development experience (Sybase or other relational databases)
- Understanding of application infrastructure and system architecture
- Experience designing and building web-based applications
- Background working in large-scale, enterprise environments
- Interest in regulatory systems, financial platforms, or enterprise technology
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins) and Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong SQL and ETL knowledge
- Experience with database performance analysis and tuning
- Axiom experience is a plus, but not essential – full training provided
