PRS has engaged with a key client and an innovative specialist within Cooling Technologies & Refrigeration Solutions supplied into industries such as Commercial, Food, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals & Industrial. We are seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to hire on a full‑time, permanent basis.

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover various customer locations throughout Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively deliver engineering tasks received, including maintenance and service visits to food factories, RDCs, warehouses on a variety of equipment (Reciprocating, Scroll, Screw compressor packs including Ammonia, CO2 & HFC/HFO installations).
  • Carry out service and reactive breakdown cover during normal working hours, supporting out‑of‑hours work as part of a standby rota.
  • Observe internal and client support functions to meet the requirements and objectives of our customers and our business.
  • Ensure that the engineering tasks received are supported with appropriate commercial awareness and business system compliance at all times.
  • Responsible for the quality of each engineering task, ensuring all practices are followed.
  • Participants conform to all industry best practice and legislative guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Proven knowledge of the industrial refrigeration engineering services sector and the expectations of industrial refrigeration customers.
  • Demonstrated technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required (e.g., 2079 refrigerant handling, ACRIB, Ammonia).
  • Successfully completed a recognised training course/apprenticeship in industrial refrigeration.
  • Good base knowledge of maintenance and service duties on medium to large industrial applications.
  • Experience of large central plant technical diagnosis and fault‑finding for various installations; experience on refrigeration compressors from Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, Mycom, etc.
