This medium-sized, well-regarded nursing and dementia home is seeking a compassionate, driven and experienced dementia professional to lead one of its specialist dementia suites. This is an excellent opportunity for a Dementia Manager or Dementia Specialist who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care and developing high-performing care teams.
The Role
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have full responsibility for leading a dedicated dementia suite within the home.
- Providing strong, visible leadership to care teams within the dementia unit.
- Ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate, person-centred dementia care.
- Supporting residents to live safe, dignified and fulfilling lives in line with their individual care needs.
- Overseeing the completion, review and ongoing development of care plans, ensuring compliance with company policy and best practice.
- Promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and best practice in dementia care.
- Ensuring the suite meets CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Dementia Manager or Dementia Specialist within a care home or similar setting.
- At least 2 yearsβ experience in a leadership role within dementia care.
- Extensive experience working within a dementia care environment (minimum 3 years).
- A recognised dementia qualification (e.g. Dementia Care Mapping, Level 3 or 5 Health & Social Care with a dementia focus) β highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance specific to dementia services.
- A genuine passion for dementia care, quality improvement and team development.
Location & Commutability
The home is based near Gillingham, Kent and is easily commutable from Chatham, Rainham, Snodland, Rochester, Bearsted, Sittingbourne, East Malling, Maidstone, Kemsley, Otham and Sevenoaks.
