Hays Education is working exclusively with a forward-thinking alternative provision setting in Gateshead to appoint an experienced and dynamic School Business Manager for a maternity cover position. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a supportive, values driven environment dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
The Role
As School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, strategic and efficient running of the school's operations. Working as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing functions across:
- Finance & budget management
- HR administration & workforce planning
- Premises, health & safety
- Procurement & contract management
- Administrative leadership and line management
You will lead a small, committed administrative team and work closely with senior leaders, contributing to whole‑school decision‑making and supporting the delivery of high quality education for learners who require a relational, trauma‑informed approach.
