We’re recruiting a Food Technology Teacher in Middlesbrough. Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for flexible, rewarding work? We’re working closely with a secondary school in Middlesbrough who are seeking a dedicated teacher to deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons.
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm | Monday to Friday
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned Food Technology lessons across KS3–KS5
- Create a positive, structured, and safe practical learning environment
- Support pupil engagement and academic progress
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit a variety of learning needs
- Maintain excellent behaviour management
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
- Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ideally
- Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and practical lesson management skills
- Confidence managing health & safety within a food tech environment
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive, professional approach with a commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to provide two recent references
