We’re recruiting a Food Technology Teacher in Middlesbrough. Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for flexible, rewarding work? We’re working closely with a secondary school in Middlesbrough who are seeking a dedicated teacher to deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons.

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm | Monday to Friday

Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned Food Technology lessons across KS3–KS5
  • Create a positive, structured, and safe practical learning environment
  • Support pupil engagement and academic progress
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit a variety of learning needs
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ideally
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and practical lesson management skills
  • Confidence managing health & safety within a food tech environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, professional approach with a commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to provide two recent references
