Job Summary:
As a Floral Event Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and executing floral installations for events. You will work closely with clients and the events team to transform briefs into stunning floral displays that align with the Wildabout aesthetic. This is a hands-on, creative role that requires strong design skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute bespoke floral arrangements for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
- Interpret client briefs and translate them into creative floral concepts.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and floral recipes to present to clients and the internal team.
- Source flowers and materials, ensuring quality and seasonal availability.
- Oversee the setup and installation of floral designs on-site, managing freelancers and support staff as needed.
- Liaise with event planners, venues, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship, from initial prep to final installation.
- Stay informed of floral trends and industry innovations.
- Ensure sustainability practices are followed, including reuse and drying of florals where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Proven 2 yr experience in floral design, ideally in events or weddings.
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in creating design presentations using Canva, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Physical stamina for on-site installation work.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
- Knowledge of floral conditioning and care.
