This is a Hybrid role based in Whiteley, Hampshire. Clearance Required: This role will require attainment and maintenance of SC clearance. We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join our team to help us deliver a large-scale systems integration programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of automated test activities as assigned by the Test Lead, interfacing with a diverse team to support agile development efforts, and with Customer stakeholders to design, create and execute tests. The role requires effective communication with all team members, from technical personnel to programme leadership. The role includes executing tests across a variety of software products and network & infrastructure configurations and identifying and managing defects.
What will I be doing?
- Generating Automated Test Cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation, liaising with SMEs
- Supporting the development and enhancement of a new Test Automation Framework
- Documenting test results and any defects/reporting progress, risks & issues
- Investigating issues and working with suppliers to identify root cause and resolution
- Analysing data and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance to requirements
- Identifying improvements in new and existing processes (including conducting code reviews)
What does Leidos need from me?
- Test experience (including ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing)
- Expertise in automation tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, JMeter, Appium, SoapUI, Cucumber, Ranorex, GITLab, Sikuli, Jenkins
- Competence in coding in Python using PyCharm and JavaScript
- Experience of Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional, Non-Functional and Integration Testing
- Experience of creating manual and automated Test Cases based on requirements and design documents
- Agile software development processes and products (CI/CD pipelines, release and sprint planning, product backlog management/refinement, retrospectives, etc.) and SecDevOps
Pay Range £36,900.00-£46,100.00
