Arden White is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK helicopter engineering and support organisation based at Oxford Airport. Supporting both civil and military operations, including the MoD’s No.1 Helicopter Flying School (MFTS), this role offers the chance to work in a highly regulated, technically advanced environment.
The Role
This is a certifying position, reporting to the Installation & Production Manager, responsible for maintaining the safety and airworthiness of helicopters undergoing customisation and maintenance within the Installations Department. You will support project delivery by leading avionics activities, supervising work and ensuring compliance with approved data, regulatory standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Certify avionics work within the Installations department
- Delegate and oversee tasks across the avionics team
- Ensure compliance with approved data and CAA regulations
- Liaise with Project Management and Design teams
- Oversee day-to-day hangar and team activities
- Ensure H&S standards, PPE use and hangar rules are upheld
- Support installation of modifications using approved OEM or STC data
Essential
- Minimum 5 years’ aviation experience
- CAA Part 66 B2 Licence
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong knowledge of Part 21G, Part 145 and Part 21J
- Proven wiring loom manufacture, fault‑finding and testing experience
Desirable
- Type ratings on H125, H130, H135 or H145
- Human Factors and leadership training
