Resource Analyst – Defense Programme
Salary: £67ph (Umbrella)
6 month contract - remote role to start ASAP
This role is subject to BPSS security clearance. Gi Group are working with a leading organisation in the defense and aerospace sector supporting a major UK government programme and are currently looking for an experienced Resource/Workforce Analyst to join the team on a 6-month contract.
The role
What you'll be doing:
- You will be responsible for managing and analysing workforce and contractor data to ensure effective resource planning, budget control and compliance across the programme.
- Managing workforce planning and resource forecasting across teams.
- Maintaining accurate headcount, contractor and staffing data.
- Tracking onboarding, offboarding, extensions and personnel movement.
- Monitoring capacity, utilisation and workload distribution.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with procurement, legal and HR policies.
- Develop and present reports and dashboards on resourcing, budget, and capacity.
- Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and policy adherence.
- Advise managers on staffing matters, support budget planning, and contribute to operational improvements for greater efficiency.
The candidate
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in resource management, workforce planning, PMO or HR operations.
- Experience working in defense, public sector, aerospace or large programme environments (highly desirable).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, workforce tools and data visualisation platforms.
- High attention to detail and confidence working with sensitive data.
Due to the nature of the project, this role is subject to BPSS clearance.
