The Role
You’ll sit at the centre of the waste and recycling supply chain, managing the full service as a link between the clients and waste service providers to save clients time and effort. From individual projects to multi-site operations, you will be working with a variety of differing sectors such as construction, commercial, public sector, infrastructure, manufacturing etc to ensure an efficient and smooth service. You’ll take over a strong, established portfolio of key accounts with a clear growth target and plenty of support to help you scale it.
Responsibilities of a Key Account Manager
- Take ownership of a warm portfolio, ensuring ongoing satisfaction while identifying new opportunities to increase revenue and deepen partnerships
- Create and execute strategic plans for each account, focusing on retention, expansion, and delivering measurable growth over time
- Develop trusted, long-lasting relationships, understanding needs and aligning solutions to deliver value for both clients and suppliers
- Be the go-to person for clients, coordinating internally and externally to ensure smooth delivery, quick resolution of issues, and a consistent high-quality experience
Requirements of a Key Account Manager
- A solid track record of managing and growing key accounts, with strong evidence of delivering results and building long-term client relationships
- Background in waste, recycling, construction, or facilities management preferred
- Commercially focused with excellent organisation skills
- A natural rapport builder with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to drive success
- Comfortable with national travel and have a Full UK Driver’s Licence
