Are you an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in mechanical engineering? Do you have expertise in high precision engineering/manufacturing and a passion for leading teams and delivering high-quality engineering solutions? If so, a well-established, innovative automotive engineering business is looking for a Principal Design Engineer on a permanent basis!
Principal Design Engineer — Permanent Position — Monday to Thursday 8–4:45 / Early finish Friday — Coventry
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and leading the design and maintenance of world leading engineering systems for automotive applications.
- Leading the development of new technologies and new products in line with the company NPI requirements.
- Conducting vehicle, component and sub system testing as required.
- Defining technical specifications and appropriate test plans.
- Supporting DFM activities, ensuring designs are the most efficient, cost effective production methods.
- Leading a team of 5 technical engineers in developing and producing OEM components and products.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven man management experience.
- Automotive industry experience would be advantageous.
