My client, a prestigious and established firm within the Legal Sector, has an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Automation Tester with skills in SAP, Jira, TOSCA, XRAY, QTEST, and Selenium to join their QA Team working on their HR & Finance automation projects within the SAP landscape.
The Role
The role resides in the Quality Assurance and Test team and is positioned within the SAP platform team, reporting into the Product & Platform QA and Test Manager. This is both a lead and hands-on position, and the purpose of the role is to help ensure quality outcomes that are aligned with the client's business strategy, specifically focusing on all SAP systems and integrated App’s interfaces for their Finance and HR systems automation.
Given this is a Senior Automation role, you will bring a high level of experience in all activities associated with the Quality Assurance and Test Lifecycle, with relevant and up-to-date testing techniques and tool knowledge. Experience will be across SAP ecosystems and include a deep proficiency in Jira, Test & test automation tools. The role is responsible for championing quality, representing the needs and expectations of the business at all points and taking an appropriate approach to assurance to enable successful change. In addition to technical expertise, fostering meaningful relationships, influencing effectively, and contributing to a world-class culture is key.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- QA & Test Lifecycle – Leading and contributing effectively at all levels of the quality lifecycle (including planning, design, management, execution, and reporting) across the SAP S4 Hana/Success factor/Concur along with integrated applications in Complex Integrated Landscape.
- Informing & Aligning on Strategy & Approach – Supporting the development of test strategy & approach; aligning with best practices in all associated activities to support successful change & release.
- Tools & Techniques – Offering & developing subject matter expertise in relevant methods, tools, and techniques appropriate to SAP landscape, to evaluate quality using TOSCA/Jira/XRAY-Qtest etc.
- Test Automation – Taking an automation-first approach; developing automation framework, leading and contributing to the creation & maintenance of our test automation framework & scripts/library for SAP.
- Traceability & Reporting - Creating traceability records from requirements through to test results & sharing progress.
- Stakeholder Management – Effectively engaging with all stakeholders, (including IT, business, internal & 3rd parties), to achieve successful outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement – Driving continued increased success; sharing lessons & contributing to QA & Test team and SAP Platform team overall maturity.
Skills And Experience
- Previous senior level experience (demonstrating aforementioned attributes) in large environments, including SAP change lifecycle and release processes.
- Experience in all levels of quality lifecycle.
- Strong test automation & CI/CD background.
- Proficient in automation tooling relevant to SAP & developing scripts (API & UI level).
- Experience working with a high number of complex integrations.
- Experience of working closely with IT, business, and 3rd party teams.
- An excellent eye for detail, clear and structured in approach and communications.
- Fluent & effective communication of complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solution focused and positive attitude to challenges.
- Collaboration and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in testing techniques used to execute tests of all application components.
- Expertise in Agile ways of working.
- Proficient in Jira/XRAY test management tool.
- Proficient in TOSCA with at least 5+ years of experience.
