A large housing and property organisation is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Manager to support the delivery of specialist remediation and fire safety projects across a residential portfolio. This role plays a key part in assuring the quality, compliance and safety of works on site, with a strong focus on inspections, defect identification, contractor performance and fire safety standards. You will work closely with project managers, employers’ agents and contractors to ensure works are delivered to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Regular site inspections of remediation and major works projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical details for compliance
- Monitoring quality, fire safety and statutory compliance
- Identifying non‑compliance, defects and snagging and reporting accordingly
- Producing clear written inspection reports with photographic evidence
- Supporting pre‑handover, standard‑setting and snagging inspections
- Monitoring contractor performance and contributing to risk management
- Acting as a key quality and fire safety lead within the Special Projects team
About You
- Strong background in construction quality, building surveying or clerk of works
- Proven experience on remediation, major works or fire safety projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction standards, regulations and compliance
- Confident working on site and engaging with multiple stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong reporting and record‑keeping skills
- Customer‑focused with a proactive approach to problem solving
