Role: ILS / Obsolescence Engineer
Location: Greater London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months (Outside IR35)
Role summary: ILS / Obsolescence Engineer needed for large defence organisation to drive Integrated Logistics Support and proactive obsolescence management across complex engineering systems.
What You’ll Do
- Obsolescence Management: Lead proactive/reactive obsolescence activities across multiple platforms. Align with BS EN-IEC-62402:2019 and MoD Spares Policy. Monitor and mitigate obsolescence risks throughout system lifecycle.
- ILS Delivery: Develop ILS Management Plans per DEF STAN 00-600. Support ARM reporting, RCM meetings, and maintenance schedule interpretation. Contribute to bids and demonstrate ILS value to stakeholders.
- Analysis & Support: Perform FMECA, LORA, LCCA, and PHS&T assessments. Address disposal issues and support training/documentation.
- Collaboration: Influence design teams for supportability. Liaise with OEMs, supply chain, and customers to manage ILS risks.
What You’ll Bring
