Brunel are looking to recruit a Pipeline Construction Supervisor with 5 years’ experience in pipeline construction. This 12 month renewable contract (3-4 year scope) is to work on a major development project involving new onshore O&G facilities, multiple pipelines, terminal upgrades, and a new offshore platform. You will be based at site and the contractors offices in the Chester/NE Wales areas.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating all aspects of pipeline construction, ensuring the work is carried out in line with the approved schedule and budget.
- Overseeing and following up on the contractors’ activities on-site, ensuring all activities carried out are in compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
- Ensuring all works are properly executed in compliance with project specification, QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Supervising daily construction activities for pipeline installation, including ROW opening and soil stripping, excavation, welding, coating, lowering and testing.
- Ensuring Contractor adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensuring Contractor follows safety protocols and environmental regulations on-site.
- Addressing and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Monitoring construction site daily / weekly / monthly progress against project program requirements.
- Ensuring the contractor is executing the activity in accordance with the requirements agreed with various stakeholders, including local authorities and regulatory bodies, to maintain positive relationships and ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensuring the contractor organizes a safe working environment for all personnel on site, adhering to health and safety regulations and promoting a positive safety culture.
Requirements
- Engineering/technical degree (preferred) or Technical diploma
- 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Minimum 5 years in pipeline construction, with supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, construction planning and monitoring, construction works, welding & testing procedures
