Company: My client designs and manufactures a range of electro-mechanical products, and they are looking to take on a Production Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Bristol area.
Attributes:
- HNC / HND / NVQ / BSc / BEng qualification ideally or similar in Manufacturing or Production Engineering, or have previous work experience in this type of hands-on role
- Understanding of Six Sigma would be beneficial
- 2 years or more of engineering experience in a similar Manufacturing, Assembly, FMCG or similar environment
- Have experience of working with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, FMEA, and Continuous Improvement activities
- Knowledge of ISO9001
- Previous experience of working with a range of materials including plastics
- Be able to design jigs & fixtures (understanding of SolidWorks CAD software)
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer proficiency using MS Office
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Working with the team to improve production processes
- Defining processes and procedures
- Help to support with any operational issues
- Being involved in continuous improvement activities
- Helping to achieve on-time delivery with customer orders
- Supporting NPI too
- Being involved in production design and set up
- Using problem-solving skills
