The Opportunity
Compass Associates have been tasked with a high-level search for a Registered Home Manager opportunity within a truly outstanding nursing and dementia service. This is a rare opportunity to lead a highly regarded care home as it enters an exciting new phase of development. The service has an established reputation for quality, a stable and experienced team, and strong organisational support. It is now evolving to support residents with more complex dementia needs, building on an existing specialist dementia environment and a consistently strong regulatory track record. You will take over from a long-standing Home Manager who is progressing within the wider group, ensuring a structured handover and continuity of culture. This is not a turnaround role - you will inherit a stable, high-performing service and be given the autonomy and backing to further enhance clinical excellence, innovation and team engagement. For an experienced Registered Manager passionate about dementia care, this is an opportunity to lead a flagship service and shape its next chapter.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership across nursing, dementia and residential services
- Drive excellence in person-centred and dementia-focused care practice
- Lead the development of a complex dementia care pathway
- Maintain and build upon strong regulatory and compliance standards
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing multidisciplinary teams
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure operational and commercial performance
About You
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within elderly nursing and/or dementia services
- Strong track record of successful CQC inspections
- Significant experience in dementia care; experience in complex dementia environments highly advantageous
- Confident, visible leader with strong clinical governance knowledge
- Commercially and operationally astute
