As an Engineering Coordinator, you'll be part of the Joint Design Office on site, supporting the Area Engineering Lead in coordinating all engineering disciplines for a specific construction area. You'll manage the flow of design deliverables, oversee design changes, and ensure that all engineering activity aligns with the construction schedule. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of nuclear innovation, where your input will directly support the delivery of a safer, cleaner energy future.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure design packages are ready for construction, attending reviews and identifying any issues that could impact nuclear safety or quality.
- Coordinate between design, construction, and contractor teams, ensuring all changes are managed efficiently.
- Resolve technical queries, manage open points, and prioritise engineering work to meet site needs.
- Lead a small design team, acting as main point of contact for a defined plant area, driving collaboration, managing risks, and ensuring all engineering activity supports the successful delivery of the project.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- A strong background in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical) or project management.
- Experience coordinating complex projects, managing multiple workstreams, and aligning diverse teams to deliver results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in civil or structural design, or mechanical/electrical systems, and good understanding of NEC contracts and CDM regulations.
- Familiarity with BIM tools such as Navisworks, Tekla, or Revit.
- Must meet criteria for Security Vetting, requiring UK resident for at least 3 of last 5 years.
