Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer on behalf of our client, a leader in the defence sector, to support the testing, diagnosis and validation of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies across their lifecycle. You’ll help develop test processes, introduce new test equipment, and ensure products meet time, cost and quality targets. You’ll join a collaborative team working on a range of development and production projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support test activities from early design through to production readiness
  • Introduce and maintain test facilities, including documentation and configuration control
  • Perform testing and component-level fault diagnosis
  • Collaborate with Operations and Design teams to resolve technical issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain test engineering standards

What You’ll Need

  • HNC or higher in an engineering/electronics discipline (HND or degree preferred)
  • Experience with analogue/digital electronic testing and manufacture
  • Knowledge of electronic measurement, diagnostics and test equipment
  • Experience with manual and automated test systems
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES tools (e.g., SAP)
  • Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills
