Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer on behalf of our client, a leader in the defence sector, to support the testing, diagnosis and validation of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies across their lifecycle. You’ll help develop test processes, introduce new test equipment, and ensure products meet time, cost and quality targets. You’ll join a collaborative team working on a range of development and production projects.
Responsibilities
- Support test activities from early design through to production readiness
- Introduce and maintain test facilities, including documentation and configuration control
- Perform testing and component-level fault diagnosis
- Collaborate with Operations and Design teams to resolve technical issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain test engineering standards
What You’ll Need
- HNC or higher in an engineering/electronics discipline (HND or degree preferred)
- Experience with analogue/digital electronic testing and manufacture
- Knowledge of electronic measurement, diagnostics and test equipment
- Experience with manual and automated test systems
- Familiarity with ERP/MES tools (e.g., SAP)
- Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills
