Overview
Birmingham (Hybrid) – Sales Support Manager with commercial support, proposal preparation, and client coordination experience required by a circular economy consultancy working across construction and industry. In this role you'll manage the day-to-day execution of a busy sales pipeline, supporting the Business Development Director and senior stakeholders ensuring timely follow-ups and delivery. This organisation delivers practical circular economy outcomes by helping companies repurpose surplus materials. The sales function plays a critical role in progressing opportunities and preparing documentation for tenders and proposals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain sales pipeline activity and follow-up across active opportunities
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, actions, and client engagement
- Manage client communication via email and phone professionally
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and documentation using standard templates
- Edit and format Word and PowerPoint tender documents to review-ready standard
- Handle administrative tasks linked to live sales activity
- Track progress across workstreams and prevent delays through follow-up
Qualifications Required
- Experience in sales support, commercial support, bid support, or client operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Self-sufficient, able to manage competing tasks without close supervision
- Able to contribute quickly with minimal onboarding
- No use of AI tools permitted due to IP constraints
Preferred
- Sector experience in environmental, sustainability, circular economy, manufacturing or construction
Offer
- Permanent, Full time
- Possibly open to part time candidates as well (pro rata salary)
- Hybrid, offering 2-3 days a week remote working
