The Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a good customer relationship and being agile working with the distributed team across locations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Sound knowledge of statutory compliances of UK payroll
  • Should know how to calculate Tax, NI, Pensions in UK
  • Should be familiar with year start/Year end activities of UK payroll
  • Should have experience in handling voice and email query of client/Customer
  • Should have end to end experience in processing salary changes and various life cycle of employee pay component.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • SME or go to person for UK Payroll queries
  • Should have end-to-end knowledge of Payroll i.e. Graduate to employee and joiner to leaver
  • Knowledge and experience in processing payroll in Workday
  • Processing various requests in relation to pension, leaves and taxes.
  • Producing various payroll reports for various stakeholders.
  • Taking active role in year Start/End activities as well as UAT/UVT as per requirement
  • Providing training to new joiners in UK Payroll
  • Auditing cases processed by the team
  • Guiding the team in resolving various complex queries
  • Establishes standards and procedures for handling employee questions, transactions and administration of human resource programs
  • Coordinates services with the human resource information systems, human resource program managers and technology specialists
  • Decisions are typically related to schedule, plans and daily operations.
  • Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature
  • Supervises a group of support associates, coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates
  • Holds team members accountable for following established policies
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and Zero noncompliance across the engagement
  • Ensure the Service Levels are met consistently
  • Ensure data privacy requirements are followed with upmost focus
  • Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures
  • Should have experience in working with a distributed located team or offshore team
