We are seeking a skilled Metrologist to ensure accuracy, reliability, and traceability of all measurement activities and equipment across manufacturing and quality operations. This role is key to maintaining product conformity, supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement in measurement capability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate measurement methods and systems for new and existing products.
- Perform detailed dimensional and material measurements using CMM and AOI equipment.
- Analyse measurement data and provide accurate reports to support product and process quality.
- Manage calibration and maintenance of all measurement and test equipment.
- Maintain calibration database and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metrology or precision measurement within automotive manufacturing.
- Skilled in using and programming CMM and optical measurement equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, SPC) and reporting.
- Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree) preferred.
