Make UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Engineering Tutor to join our Commercial Upskilling team. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge and the development of skills and competencies for learners across a wide range of commercial engineering and manufacturing subjects. You will play a key role in delivering and supporting world-class training programmes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, engagement, and compliance. Working closely with the Senior Commercial Tutor Manager, you will help develop innovative training solutions that meet customer and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Senior Commercial Tutor Manager in the development and delivery of commercial training programmes.
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment activities in line with agreed quality standards.
- Support the development of bespoke training packages to meet customer requirements, both on-site and off-site.
- Ensure all training delivery complies with Make UK Internal Quality Assurance processes and policies.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of commercial training, including staff and learner engagement.
- Monitor performance and produce required reports and documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Make UK processes, and welfare obligations.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the role.
Technical Knowledge And Experience
- Time-served apprentice, relevant Level 3 qualification, or equivalent.
- Skills-specific NVQ Level 3 or higher.
- Level 3 (or higher) teaching qualification (minimum PTTLS).
- A1 Assessor qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge across a broad range of engineering and manufacturing topics, including: Machining and Mechanical Maintenance, CAD/CAM, Mathematics, Health and Safety, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Robotics and Automation, Welding processes, Mechanical Principles and Engineering Science, Electrical and Electronic Principles, Engineering Materials, Workshop Practices, and Manufacturing Processes, Business Systems and Communications.
- Commitment to Health & Safety and quality management systems.
- Clear understanding of Safeguarding Children, Young People, and Vulnerable Adults.
