Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially experienced individual to join our commercial team working on a portfolio of projects mainly within the water sector where you will play a crucial part in the commercial team. We are keen to bring a candidate on with prior water experience. Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely delivering the AMP8 programme through the development and adoption of efficient and effective commercial ways of working to deliver Gain, whilst meeting the requirements of the client and their customers.
- Leading the commercial delivery of wastewater/clean water and gas infrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover project stages.
- Ensure that commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.
- Be a lead for the company on commercial matters relating to the Framework / Project assigned to you.
- Support the Infrastructure Director in growth within the commercial sector for your allocated frameworks.
- Represent the projects in commercial reviews with the client.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the client.
- Ensure the company interests are protected under the contract.
- Ensure the commercial obligations under the contract agreements are administered in accordance with the contract.
- Commercial delivery of NEC 3/4 option contracts.
- Drafting of commercial correspondence within response periods.
- Valuation and validation of compensation events process.
Skills Required
- Experience within or a deep understanding of the water industry and design standards.
- Experience of lead commercial roles in large organisations or enterprises.
- Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent (Desirable).
- Experience working in a consultancy capacity (Desirable).
- Full driving licence.
