Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are currently working with a leading UK-based MRO seeking an experienced B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support ongoing base maintenance operations at their Teesside facility. This is a contract-only requirement and offers excellent exposure to a wide range of maintenance activity on narrow-body aircraft within a high-performing engineering environment. You will work as part of a professional, safety-driven team committed to the highest standards of maintenance, compliance, and airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Certifying & Support Staff and exercise privileges in accordance with company authorisations.
- Carry out and certify avionic maintenance tasks in line with approved data and procedures.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify avionic defects efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, internal processes, and safety management systems.
- Support Quality and Compliance activities, including audits and inspections where required.
- Promote and uphold a Just Culture, encouraging open reporting and continuous improvement.
- Prepare, review, and hand over work packages, ensuring documentation accurately reflects work completed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment at all times.
- Participate in mandatory training to maintain certification privileges.
- Contribute to the organisation’s commitment to safety, compliance, and engineering excellence.
Role Details
- Location: On-site, Teesside (Base Maintenance)
- Shift Pattern: 5-5-4 rotation (approx. 200+ hours per month)
- Contract Duration: ASAP – 31st March (potential short extension subject to operational requirements)
- Employment Type: Contract only
This role focuses on base maintenance within a modern hangar environment and includes certification of work performed, defect rectification, and avionic system troubleshooting under your own authorisation.
Requirements
- Current UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence (essential)
- Type rating on Boeing 737NG and/or Airbus A320
- Proven recency and experience in base maintenance
- Valid EWIS, Human Factors (HF), and Fuel Tank Safety (FTS)
- Strong knowledge of avionic systems, troubleshooting, and fault rectification
- Ability to work accurately in accordance with approved maintenance data (AMM, SRM, IPC, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset
