If you’re passionate about sales, know your way around building materials, and enjoy working with customers to find the right solutions, this is a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment. You’ll be at the heart of our branch’s success—responding to enquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and helping customers get the products they need, when they need them. It’s a role that combines relationship-building, product knowledge, and commercial awareness.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Preparing accurate and competitive quotes
- Building strong relationships with existing trade and retail customers while developing new business locally
- Promoting Lords’ full range of products and services
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver great service every time
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years’ sales experience within builders’ merchants or the wider construction materials trade
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive, customer-focused approach
- Confidence using order systems, email and basic IT tools
- A team player who takes pride in doing a great job
- Reliable transport due to branch location
- Right to work in the UK
