Role Overview

This is training that makes all the difference. In Bupa Care Homes it is our privilege to care for people, treating each resident as if they were part of our own family. To do this, we need Trainers that support our employees and equip them with the tools they need to deliver the best possible service.

What you’ll do:

  • As an Area Trainer you will deliver a range of training, such as new starter inductions, mandatory training, technical and soft skills training
  • You will use a range of training methods to motivate and meet the needs of different learning styles both face to face and virtually
  • Provide one-to-one support, coaching, and assessment of staff within the home to facilitate successful completion of inductions and training requirements
  • You will analyse learning reports to identify and advise on training required
  • Own the relationship with a set number of Care Home Managers, holding formal monthly training meetings where you will be able to advise on all Learning and Development requirements that meet the Care Homes needs
  • Reporting to the Learning and Development Business Partner, you ensure all training information is logged correctly on the system and kept up to date

What you’ll bring:

  • You will be incredibly customer focused with effective listening skills
  • You will be comfortable delivering training one on one, in a group setting or virtually, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • It is particularly important that you are competent delivering engaging training via Teams
  • Familiar with MS Office and confident using an information system to record learning
  • You will be able to demonstrate awareness of the regulatory requirements for Learning and Development within the sector
  • An effective, concise communicator who is able to influence, coach and have appropriate conversations with your delegates and customers
  • Someone with excellent time management who can effectively prioritise their workload
  • You will truly enjoy and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment and be open to new ideas and ways of working
  • A pro-active, tenacious, self-driven approach
  • A respectful and compassionate team player with the belief in giving your personal best
  • A full driving licence and access to a car
