MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading luxury fashion retailer to appoint an Area Manager – London & South. This permanent role offers the opportunity to oversee and optimise performance across a high‑profile regional store portfolio, ensuring delivery of commercial objectives and luxury brand standards.
The Area Manager will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing Store Managers across London and the South, driving consistent operational excellence, customer experience, and financial performance. This role is a key leadership position within the retail organisation and works closely with Head Office teams to ensure alignment with wider business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a portfolio of luxury retail stores across London and the South, ensuring consistent delivery of sales, margin, and KPI targets.
- Drive a best‑in‑class customer experience aligned with luxury service standards and brand expectations.
- Coach, develop, and performance‑manage Store Managers, building strong leadership capability and succession pipelines.
- Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising standards, brand presentation, and in‑store storytelling across the region.
- Conduct regular store visits, audits, and performance reviews, providing clear feedback and actionable improvement plans.
- Analyse sales performance, customer data, and operational KPIs to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Partner with Buying, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability.
- Support the execution of new store openings, refits, and closures within the region as required.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention of retail teams.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, employment legislation, health and safety, and security standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the business internally and externally to the highest professional standard.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior retail leadership, contributing to regional and business‑wide planning.
- Proven experience in an Area Manager or Regional Manager role within a luxury fashion or premium retail environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results across multiple store locations.
- Extensive people leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high‑performing teams.
- Deep understanding of luxury customer experience, service standards, and brand presentation.
- Highly analytical and detail‑oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
