The Marketing and Events Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of marketing initiatives and public events at Whitehead Railway Museum, part of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. This role is based at Whitehead Railway Museum but may involve occasional travel to our premises in Dublin.
Responsibilities- Assist in creating engaging content for social media, website updates and promotional materials.
- Support marketing campaigns to promote events, programmes and the museum to diverse audiences.
- Monitor and report on marketing activity and audience engagement metrics.
- Help plan, promote and deliver public events and activity days.
- Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.
- Assist with on-the-day visitor engagement and support activities.
- Gather stories and information from staff, volunteers, and visitors for marketing purposes.
- Interact positively with museum visitors to enhance their experience.
- Respond to visitor enquiries and provide accurate information about events and activities.
- Greet visitors on arrival, provide information about museum exhibits, events, and activities, and ensure a high standard of visitor experience.
