We take pride in delivering high-quality repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance solutions for residential and commercial clients.This role has been created specifically for the JobStart Scheme to offer an individual hands-on training and work experience in the property and maintenance sector. The successful participant will gain valuable technical and practical skills while working alongside experienced tradespeople in a supportive environment.Location: Belfast and surrounding areas.Training: Full on-the-job training, mentoring, and regular progress reviews provided.Progression: Participants who perform well may be considered for continued employment or apprenticeship opportunities within Gracehill UK.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior maintenance staff with day-to-day repairs and property upkeep.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as painting, minor joinery, fixture replacement, and general property checks.
- Support the preparation and clean-up of work areas before and after maintenance jobs.
- Learn how to use tools, materials, and maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help monitor stock and materials, ensuring equipment is organised and well-maintained.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Record job details using mobile reporting systems or checklists.
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality service standards for all clients and tenants.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Practical approach to problem-solving.
- Basic awareness of health and safety in a working environment.
- Some previous experience or interest in property maintenance, joinery, or general trades.
- Confidence using basic hand tools or equipment (training provided).
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to different sites (not essential).
