We are seeking a talented Hair Stylist or assistant. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, ensuring they leave feeling confident. Through both hair care and ability to connect with customers, you will contribute to a welcoming and professional salon environment. It is not necessary to be a qualified stylist as we are willing to take on a salon assistant who has an interest in hairdressing, or possibly started training but didn't complete and who is willing to learn some basics and assist stylists.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organised workstations and ensure the salon is kept tidy at all times.
- Provide tea and coffee.
- Engage with clients.
- Sell products and services.
- Assist in store management tasks, including inventory management and maintaining supplies.
- Reception duties such as scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling payments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Qualified stylist is desirable but not necessary.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
