The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 £ per hour.

To maintain and improve the appearance and safety of all care home facilities by carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across eight homes. Mileage will be paid for travel between homes. The base location will be Ballynahinch and mileage paid to other homes based on this.

All posts involve substantial access to vulnerable adults and therefore, the successful candidate will be offered the post subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI. Regulated roles will also require a check of the Adults Barred List. References are required and where applicable, this includes from the most recent employer.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out internal and external painting across the care homes to maintain high standards and compliance.
  • Prepare surfaces, apply primers, undercoats and finishing coats using appropriate materials.
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and is completed within agreed timescales.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritise areas requiring urgent attention.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to use initiative and manage own time.
  • Driving licence & access to a vehicle OR access to transport (other than public) which will enable you to travel to our homes.
  • An interest in painting/decorating.

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
