The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.
We are seeking a motivated individual to maintain and repair our fleet of plant and machinery at our Omagh depot. You will learn to ensure our machinery remains safe, reliable, and compliant whilst keeping our operations moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers and forklifts.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Assemble components and ensure proper functionality of machinery.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Work as part of a team and work with the workshop manager to meet repair timelines and assist in the smooth operation of machinery prep.
- Assist in heavy lifting as necessary to move equipment or parts during repairs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Full and valid driving licence.
- Relevant industry experience is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with exposure to a range of vehicles and machinery.
- Ability to weld would be an advantage.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
