The receptionist/admin support worker will work in a busy public office as part of a small and dedicated team providing an advice and information service to the public. The role will be to support our full-time administrator with all tasks as defined in the Job Responsibilities Section.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the making of appropriate appointments for the OIAS Advisers and signposting clients to OIAS’s services e.g. Drop-In Sessions, Rural Outreach Sessions, Home Visits etc.
- Be responsible for incoming phone calls and receiving messages for OIAS staff.
- Overseeing general office procedures including the maintaining of records, filing and information systems and photocopying duties.
- Providing support to the full-time Administrator.
- Liaise with Manager with regards to self-development.
- Attend any training sessions, seminars, meetings/discussions considered necessary.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5 GCSE’s graded A-C or equivalent, one of which must be English Language or NVQ Level II Administration.
- Experience of working with the public.
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, Social Media and E-mail.
- Ability to work within the aims, objectives and values of OIAS.

JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
