The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.
The main purpose of the job is to assist in the preparation of rooms for hire and to maintain a safe and clean environment, which involves daily tasks like dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing washrooms and kitchens.
Responsibilities:
- The cleaning of all rooms, corridors, entrance lobbies, toilets and kitchens of the Community Centre.
- The vacuuming, mopping, polishing and buffing of floors.
- The cleaning of glazing and the entrance area.
- Preparing rooms for bookings moving chairs, tables and other equipment to required layouts.
- Completing other tasks reasonably identified by the Management Committee.
- Removing rubbish and recycling to the disposal point.
- Keeping the cleaning storage cupboards clean and tidy and cleaning materials safely stored.
- Informing Management Committee in a timely manner of any supplies required.
- Being familiar with health and safety regulations associated with the job.
- Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the Management Committee.
- Being prepared to receive and undertake further training as required.
- Maintaining polite and good communication with the Centre's Trustees, members of staff and the Centre's clients.
- Upholding the Centre's Equal Opportunities Policy and Safe Working Practices.
- Holding and keeping in a safe place the keys of the Centre. Occasional key holding duties i.e. unlocking and/or locking up after hirers.
- Awareness of Safeguarding and Child Protection policy and procedures and must have an enhanced DBS check.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Time management.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Knowledge of cleaning products/safety.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently or in a team to meet hygiene standards and deadlines.
Further Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
