The Logistics Support Officer will ensure the smooth running of logistics operations. It combines independent work with team collaboration to maintain effective transport and logistics processes. MJM Marine is a progressive, flexible and rapidly growing specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients.
Responsibilities:
- Organise Courier shipments as directed.
- Record and track freight movements.
- Create and provide commercial invoices for freight movements.
- Register Customs and Excise commodity codes.
- Prepare paperwork for regulatory bodies.
- Co-ordinate drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys as required.
- Ensure the company vehicles are fully roadworthy at all times.
- Drive vehicles for deliveries and collections if required.
- Operate IT systems including D365, MS Excel and Word.
- Work on own initiative and be part of the team.
- Carry out all other duties within area of responsibility as directed by management.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed by the Logistics Manager and Co-ordinators.
- Effective upward reporting to senior manager.
- Early identification of any issues that may affect the successful delivery of the project.
Further Information:
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
