The predicted salary is between 12 - 12 £ per hour.

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance & Groundsperson Assistant to support the upkeep of our facilities and outdoor areas. The role involves assisting with basic maintenance tasks and light repairs, grass cutting, weeding, and general grounds care. You will help ensure all indoor and outdoor areas are kept clean, safe, and tidy at all times. The ideal candidate is practical, hardworking, and able to follow instructions while working independently when required.

Responsibilities

  • Under direction of the Site Manager, assisting with basic maintenance tasks and light repairs.
  • Grass cutting and weeding.
  • General ground care.
  • Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy and well maintained.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to carry out minor repairs, routine maintenance and use hand tools safely.
  • Experience with using lawnmower & strimmer.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good time keeping and ability to work effectively in a time efficient manner.
  • Experience in joinery or maintenance role.
  • LANTRA or City & Guilds certificates in garden machinery handling would be advantageous.

Further Information

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
