MIND YOUR MATE AND YOURSELF (MYMY) is a mental health charity. Since 2020, our charity has been a key source of funding for MYMY. The charity shop is an attractive retail space, it is a supportive environment for our volunteers and a safe place for those seeking assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Handle cash and card payments, cash up the till, and arrange a float.
- Make everyone feel welcome.
- Perceive, review and process donations from the public.
- Ensure the shop is well stocked and merchandise is displayed in an attractive manner.
- Keep the shop clean and tidy.
- There will be a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within the day-to-day duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous paid experience in retail, sales or customer service.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work on a rota system which will include Saturdays.
- Previous experience in fashion sales.
- Previous experience in shop merchandising.
- Previous experience working with volunteers.
Further Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
