We are seeking a Store Person to join our small wholesale soft drinks company in Derry. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of our warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, and dispatched efficiently and safely. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in warehousing and logistics through the Jobstart programme.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of stock.
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised.
- Stock rotation and basic stock control.
- Assisting with regular stock checks.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Operating a forklift truck (if trained), or undertaking training provided.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Able to handle manual work.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction.
- Forklift licence and experience (training will be provided if not held).
- Previous warehouse or store experience.
- Basic understanding of stock control.
- Driving licence.
Further Information
Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
