Are you organised, hands-on, and ready to be a key player in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a reliable and hardworking engineering storeperson to join our team within a manufacturing or engineering environment. The successful candidate will assist with general duties, manage our engineering inventory, tools, and spare parts.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our maintenance and production teams by ensuring the right parts are always available, well-organised, and in top condition, support tradespeople, and ensure work areas are kept safe, clean, and efficient. Familiarity with engineering parts, tools, and equipment, especially those used in maintenance and production operations would be an advantage.
Responsibilities- Organising stock and parts.
- Learning how to operate our management system.
- Stock control and location finding.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with daily engineering tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the working engineering yard.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision if required.
- Always follow health and safety procedures.
- Support site setup and clean-up before and after if required.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety.
- Valid CSR/Safe-pass Card.
- Understanding of a working yard and workshop with moving forklift.
- Own transport to workplace/meeting point.
- Basic mechanical or technical knowledge (advantageous but not always essential).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or part numbers (preferred).
