We are seeking a thoughtful, people-focused Community Officer to support and grow our not-for-profit work over the course of their placement. This role is studio-based and centred on relationship-building, engagement, and creating meaningful connections between our organisation and the wider community.

As Community Officer, you’ll be a welcoming and consistent presence in the studio, engaging with community members, participants, and partners. You’ll help strengthen existing relationships while building new ones, supporting participation in our programmes and ensuring our studio remains an open, supportive, and well-connected space. You’ll work closely with the wider team to support community-led activity and help communicate what we do to the people we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a point of contact within the studio.
  • Engaging with community members, participants, and visitors.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with local groups, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Supporting outreach and community engagement activity.
  • Encouraging participation in classes, workshops, and community projects.
  • Gathering informal feedback and insights from the community.
  • Supporting a welcoming, inclusive, and well-organised studio environment.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to support not-for-profit objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
