We are looking for an After School Club Assistant to support the delivery of after school sessions for children. This role involves working with one school per day, delivering structured sessions in a calm, supportive environment.
The position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with children, values routine, and is confident working independently while following clear programme guidance.
As an After School Club Assistant, you’ll support the delivery of after school classes, helping create a safe, welcoming space for children at the end of the school day. Sessions will run in the afternoons, with responsibility for travel to and from schools, session support, and ensuring children are supervised and collected safely.
Responsibilities:- Supporting delivery of after school sessions at one school per day.
- Assisting with structured activities and age-appropriate play.
- Ensuring children’s safety, wellbeing, and supervision at all times.
- Helping set up and tidy away materials before and after sessions.
- Supporting snack time where applicable.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with school staff and parents.
- Travelling to schools to deliver sessions independently.
- Comfortable working to a schedule.
- Able to follow safeguarding procedures and routines.
- Must hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a car.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
Job Start Opportunity - Working Hours Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
