The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.
This role will involve collating, inputting and uploading data into a bespoke EPOS system, co-ordinating with key personnel in relevant departments to identify missing data entry points, organising the data to suit formatted Microsoft Excel sheets and uploading the spreadsheets onto the EPOS system. Once completed, the candidate will manage the spreadsheets, updating as and when required.
The role will also involve sales assistant responsibilities such as communicating with customers to identify their needs and offering solutions to meet their needs, working independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:- Accurately enter and update data into databases and computer systems.
- Verifying all data for accuracy and correcting any errors.
- Transfer information from various sources, including paper documents, into digital formats.
- Maintain and organise records and customer accounts.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Perform data backup and preservation tasks.
- Greet customers, answer questions about products, provide advice, and handle complaints or returns.
- Process sales using cash or card, and sometimes manage online sales or process orders.
- Stock shelves with new merchandise, arrange displays, and ensure products are priced correctly.
- Receive deliveries, monitor stock levels, and conduct stock takes or audits.
- Keep the sales floor clean and organised, which may include tasks like dusting, vacuuming, and tidying.
- Confident in using a range of Computer Software Programmes (Training will be provided for each programme).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organise large volumes of data in a systematic manner.
- Be able to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with an EPOS system.
- Previous experience working within a retail environment.
