We offer 12 cosy, self-catering cottages, catering to a diverse clientele seeking adventure, relaxation, and a peaceful retreat in the Irish countryside. Our commitment to personalized hospitality ensures a memorable experience for families, couples, solo travellers, and groups. Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is an opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to gain experience in grounds maintenance and hospitality. You’ll help maintain the natural beauty and upkeep of Rostrevor Holidays – from gardens and paths to outdoor facilities – ensuring guests can enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the grounds, gardens, and outdoor areas to a high standard, including mowing, strimming, sweeping, and general upkeep.
- Assisting with light maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning outdoor furniture, and small repair jobs.
- Keeping paths, driveways, and outdoor facilities clean, safe, and tidy for guests.
- Helping with waste management, recycling, and movement of equipment or supplies.
- Monitoring and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
- Supporting the wider team when needed to ensure a positive guest experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- No previous experience required; full training will be provided.
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work and being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and ability to follow instructions or a daily schedule.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining neat, well-presented outdoor areas.
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
- Experience using outdoor tools or equipment such as lawnmower, strimmer, or power washer.
- Interest in nature, the outdoors, and developing practical maintenance skills.

The Employer is: MOURNE MOUNTAIN HOLIDAYS. Job Start Opportunity – Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
