Proparamedics are looking for individuals who want to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where change is always happening. The company works across NI supporting event organisers, Health Trusts, GP Practices and individuals by providing highly trained and professional clinical staff. We also have our own dedicated Training Department ensuring our staff work to the highest standards and providing First Aid and other accredited training courses for external clients.
You will be working as a First Aider/Ambulance Care Attendant as event medical cover and doing patient transfers on ambulances.
Responsibilities- To undertake first aid duties (within capabilities and competence), assist the extended skills staff as required, and ensure full and accurate completion of PRF’s (and all required documents).
- Provide effective and efficient first aid practice, high quality and professional care on which the best patient outcome depends.
- Ensure that customer care is highly reflected throughout all aspects of work undertaken within the business and that each customer is treated in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.
- Undertake all necessary pre-deployment checks such as necessary equipment, vehicle check, correct and necessary documentation, route planning (including accountability / sign out) etc.
- Ensure the efficient, effective, comfortable and safe transfer of patients for non-emergency transfers.
- Ensure initiation and full and accurate completion of PRF’s, as required, in every instance when a patient receives any type of treatment/observations are carried out.
- Undertake non-urgent Patient Transfers and medical first aid duties at events (within capabilities and competence), as well as general duties.
- Provide effective assistance or co-operate with other company’s staff to achieve satisfactory completion of tasks allocated.
- If required or requested to do so carry out such tasks as may become necessary at any venue such as clean and/or stock vehicles.
- Ensure that all medical rooms are fully equipped using check lists provided; and any discrepancies immediately reported to K&E.
- Basic literacy, numeracy and computer literacy.
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
- For suitable candidates a comprehensive in-house training program, for FREC 3 and much more, will be provided.
JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
