The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.

The job entails working as part of a small, efficient team in both goods in and despatch for customers and suppliers. Stock control will be a main element of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for keeping stock well organised and tidy.
  • Complete physical cycle counts of warehouse stock daily.
  • Identify discrepancies and investigate root cause.
  • Identify areas of improvement in regard to stock control.
  • Pick components in line with pick list and prepare for delivery.
  • Put returned stock back in the correct place and communicate to team leader.
  • Ensure warehouse stock is kept organised and tidy.
  • Assist with pick and pack during busy warehouse periods.
  • Assist with unloading and loading containers when required.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
  • Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
  • Maximise efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Competent in the use of IT Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure any imperfections are noticed.
  • Proven ability to follow health & safety procedures.
  • GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent at C Grade or above (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment.
  • Experience of using IT Stock systems (although training will be provided).

Further Information

  • Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
  • Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
  • Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
