The Visitor Experience Officer is a frontline role responsible for ensuring that all visitors enjoy a welcoming, informative, and memorable experience. You will build and develop relationships and support the development of St Columb's Hall.
Responsibilities
- To ensure a visitor experience is tailored to the needs of the audience; education, community, visitor.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and staff to develop best practices in visitor engagement to help improve services and guide future programming.
- To enable and enhance the experiences of all those attending St Columb's Hall.
- To deliver tours when necessary following appropriate training.
- To ensure all health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments are developed, maintained and adhered to by staff and visitors.
- To monitor, review, research, and undertake best practice analysis to ensure continuous development.
- Visitor Engagement: Interacting with the public, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Basic Safety: Assisting with first aid if trained, and contributing to overall visitor safety.
- Collaboration: Working with staff and volunteers to maintain a positive atmosphere and consistent service.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with the public and handle complaints.
- Ability to ensure desired standards are met for inspections.
- Willingness to train in first aid or assist the wider team with other reasonably requested tasks.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
Further Information
JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information:
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
