The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 £ per hour.

This role will combine direct public interaction (greeting visitors, managing facilities, handling complaints) with maintaining cleanliness and safety standards (inspecting facilities, ensuring litter is managed, supporting cleaning activities). This person ensures a welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment for visitors by performing tasks like litter picking, bin emptying, toilet checks, and general public area upkeep of St Columb’s Hall.

Responsibilities

  • Visitor Engagement: Interacting with the public, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Managing litter, emptying bins, and ensuring public areas remain clean and welcoming.
  • Basic Safety: Assisting with first aid if trained, and contributing to overall visitor safety.
  • Collaboration: Working with staff and volunteers to maintain a positive atmosphere and consistent service.
  • Facility Maintenance: Inspecting all areas for cleanliness and safety.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Communication: Strong ability to deal with the public, handle complaints, and work collaboratively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to train in first aid or assist the wider team with other reasonably requested tasks.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.

Further Information

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
