The Trainee Cricket Groundsperson will learn and assist to carry out preparation and maintenance of the cricket pitches and surrounding facilities of Bready Cricket Club. They will work with the Grounds Committee of Bready Cricket Club and the Head Groundsperson to ensure the pitch and facilities are presented to the highest possible standard for training and matches throughout the season.
Responsibilities
- Undertake routine preparation and maintenance of the cricket pitches, outfield and surrounding areas at Bready Cricket Club.
- Plan pitch preparation, maintenance and renovation of used pitches to maintain high standards for playing and training of all users of the Bready Cricket Club.
- Work closely with the committee and volunteers of Bready Cricket Club to ensure commitments for playing and training schedules are met.
- Operate vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance in a safe and responsible manner adhering to relevant health and safety requirements.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to a safe and operable standard, reporting any issues to the Bready Cricket Club Management Committee.
- Ensure the grounds and work area of the Bready Cricket Club are tidy, safe and secure at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
- Willingness to learn all aspects of grounds keeping.
- Good knowledge of the Health & Safety Requirements in such an environment.
Further Information
- Location: Bready Cricket Club
- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.
- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.
- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
