We’re looking for an individual to join our IT team as a Junior IT Support Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in IT, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced support environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues, helping users resolve problems and keeping systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Log, track, and escalate incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist with setting up user accounts, devices, and applications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and escalate complex issues to 2nd line support.
  • Support onboarding of new staff with IT setup and orientation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Interest in IT and technology.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of computers, software, and networks.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • GCSEs or equivalent; IT-related qualifications are a plus but not required.
  • Must have a current UK Driving licence.
  • Having access to your own transportation would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office and Hardware.
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting (even personal or school projects).
  • Any IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA ITF, Google IT Support).

Further Information

Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
